Agent Banking Consultant, Eastern, Northern and Western Regions

To grow the dfcu agent Banking channel, monitor the agent network and enforce compliance with the BOU Agent Banking guidelines.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Drive business growth through agent and customer acquisition.
  • Monitor and supervise agents to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain an active agent network in order to meet the minimum agent utilization target.
  • Act as first level of support to agents and customers in order to resolve agent and customer queries.
  • Coordinate the distribution of Agent branding collateral and ensure compliance to branding guidelines and bank set agent operating procedures.
  • Coordinate the distribution of Agents business tools e.g. Point of Sale (POS) terminals, transaction books etc in order to maintain an active agent network.
  • Prepare reports on branch/regional Agent performance and share with relevant business stakeholders in order to achieve an active agent network. 
  • Carry out competitor analysis to improve product/ service features.
  • Identify new market opportunities to support the channel’s expansion.
  • Monitor and enforce agents’ adherence to the Bank of Uganda prudential guidelines.
  • Directly work with the different teams involved in agent banking network management (ANMs, Branch Staff) to maintain a productive and compliant Agent Channel.
  • Undertake additional duties and/or transfer you to other duties compatible with your skills and experience within dfcu more generally as the Bank shall in its absolute discretion determine.

  • Minimum banking experience of 1 year.
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking operations and processes.
  • Ability to effectively work within a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong analytical skills; both quantitative and qualitative
  • Customer service oriented
  • Proactive approach to work with
  • Knowledge of Microsoft tools
  • Good typing skills with speed and accuracy
  • Good selling skills
