Lead Change Officer (1 Position)

REPORTING TO: Business Change Manager

 JOB PURPOSE: Reporting to the Business Change Manager, the role holder will support the implementation of activities to operationalize strategic initiatives, aid a smooth transition from Projects to Business-as-Usual (BAU) to realize maximum benefits, embed and address cultural factors associated with the change.

LOCATION: Kampala

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Create and implement change management strategies and plans to maximize user adoption & proficiency and minimize overall risk such that business results are achieved.
  • Effectively tailor change management methodology specific to individual users’ needs.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement, organizational assessment, impact analysis, learning/training, communications/marketing, business readiness, deployment, and adoption measurement throughout technology consulting projects.
  • Create actionable deliverables for core components of the change management strategy including a communications plan, training plan, and impact assessment/resistance management plan.
  • Partner with Customer Experience to drive ongoing adoption of technology and business process improvement in post-deployment.
  • To support a smooth transition from Projects to BAU to realize maximum benefits – Business readiness, training, process changes, roll-out plans, culture transformations, and embedding change within BAU.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Marketing, or Business Administration or another related field.
  • Certification in Change Management or Project Management.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Human Resources, Communication, Marketing, or other Change management experience in a Financial Institution.
  • Have been directly involved (in a lead or pivotal role) in a Digital or Bank Cultural Transformation Initiative.
  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal and advanced presentation skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
